In cosmetics, it is found in lipsticks, eye shadows, blushers, hair dyes and lastly, it is also found in some pharmaceutical products.

Tertiary butylhydroquinone is a synthetic antioxidant. It is not naturally occurring and is produced through chemical processes. It is commonly used in the food industry to extend the shelf life of various products by preventing oxidation and rancidity. Yes, TBHQ is produced synthetically and is considered vegan and vegetarian. 

Is this product bad for me?
